Market Resolution & Trading Rules
Najua operates a fully regulated, transparent, and fair exchange. Every contract is backed by predefined rules, authoritative data feeds, and clear resolution guidelines.
1. Contract Specifications & Payouts
All events listed on Najua are binary options structured as YES/NO questions.
If you buy a YES contract at KES 42.00 and the event resolves YES, your contract is settled at KES 100.00, yielding a KES 58.00 profit. If the event resolves NO, your contract resolves at KES 0.00.
2. Order Execution & Matching
Najua operates a central limit order book (CLOB). All bids and offers are placed directly by trading participants:
- Price Consistency: The sum of the lowest YES ask and highest NO bid must equal KES 100.00.
- Collateralization: Every contract position is fully funded up-front. There is no margin trading, leverage, or debt positions allowed on the exchange.
- Instant Settlement: Funds are deducted from your balance immediately when orders are matched, and payouts are instantly credited to your wallet upon event resolution.
3. Authoritative Sources of Truth
Markets resolve strictly based on objective, third-party, publicly verifiable data. We do not use news hearsay, speculation, or subjective opinion:
Economics Markets
Official statements by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), and EPRA pump price bulletins.
Weather Markets
Daily rainfall records, wind warnings, and heat indexes published by the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) stations.
Politics & Infrastructure
Kenya Gazette notices, verified state announcements, and Parliamentary hansard transcripts.
Sports & Entertainment
Official league websites (e.g. CAF, Premier League, Olympics committees) and official match stats.
4. Special Resolution & Delays
In rare instances, events do not unfold as anticipated:
Postponement & Cancellation
If a sports match or state announcement is postponed, the market remains open for 48 hours. If the event does not occur within 48 hours of the original schedule, all trade orders are cancelled and funds refunded to users.
If an source of truth is offline or unavailable, the resolution committee waits for up to 5 business days for verified data. If none becomes available, secondary verified publications (reputable business media outlets) are used.
5. Disputes & Arbitration
Every participant has the right to challenge market resolution:
- Challenge Window: Disputes must be submitted to the support center within 24 hours of market settlement.
- Evidence: Challenges must include direct links to official data reports (e.g., CBK statement PDFs, KMD reports).
- Resolution Board: A three-member internal board inspects the challenge against the market rules. Board outcomes are final and reviewed by the BCLB during annual license audits.
